About Us

Welcome to our small farm in the mountains of Western NC. We are Andrea and Roman, a husband and wife team who love doing life together. We raise ADGA Nigerian dwarf goats, and a very diverse flock of chickens of many breeds. We also have a couple of Nubian goats, as well as our German Shepherd Sadie, and two cats. We love to garden, and grow as much food and herbs as we can to eat fresh and preserve for later use.

We began our homesteading journey together back in 2019, just before we got married. I ( Andrea) grew up on a farm with cows, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, and more, so this way of life is something that is a part of me and something that I want to pass on for many generations.

I have always struggled with different skin issues, so when we began milking our goats, I wanted to try goat's milk on my skin. So after experimenting with soap making, I finally had a product that I loved. The first time I tried it on my skin I was in the middle of a flare-up of one of my skin issues. Within 2 days of using the soap, it had cleared up completely ( which is something that has never happened before with prescription creams that I have). After two months of using our soap, I have had no more flare-ups, and my skin has never felt better or healthier! This is something that I want to share with others, in hopes that it can help anyone who may be struggling with skin issues, or just want something more natural for their skin!

Our products are handmade by us in small batches, using only the best and freshest ingredients, including our goat's milk from our little herd, as well as handpicked herbs from our garden. Our goal is to make products that are only made with natural ingredients, and that you can trust.

Churn Dash TM Peruvian Chullo (Bonnet)

Bonnet is the sweetest Nigerian Dwarf. She loves to be brushed, scratched, pet and loved on. She also loves to try and eat my clothes. We call her Bonnet after her great-grandmother, but she also gets called Bon or BonBon more often than not.

Ruby

Ruby was our very first dairy goat to join the Feathers and Flowers Homestead. We've had her since she was 7 weeks old. She's a super sweet girl and loves attention. Her beautiful blue eyes are just an added bonus. While she is not registered, she is purebred and comes from registered stock.

Churn Dash OS Rabbit's Foot (Bunny)

Bunny came to us with her half-sister Bonnet. She's a beautiful and cautious girl, and while not quite as attention-seeking as her sis, she is our heaviest milk producer!

Opal

Opal is the future of Feathers and Flowers Farm! She is our first retained doeling born here on the farm. She was born to Ruby and is just the sweetest thing ever. We can't wait to see who she grows up to be!
